Director of Development
The Mennonite College of Nursing at Illinois State University has a rich tradition of preparing compassionate and exceptionally qualified nurses to serve the vulnerable and improve the health of those in our community, as well as throughout the nation and world. The Mennonite School of Nursing was established in 1919 and in 1999 became Illinois State University’s sixth academic college.
Jennifer Sedbrook is the development director for the Mennonite College of Nursing. Having worked in healthcare for many years alongside nurses, she is keenly aware of the life-saving work they do. Jennifer enjoys connecting donors to the projects and initiatives within the College of Nursing that are meaningful to them.
A native of Virginia, Jennifer holds a Master of Science in community planning from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has raised funds for women's and children’s services, most recently at OSF Healthcare. Jennifer is active in her community, currently completing her second term on the Bloomington District 87 School Board, and has served on many local nonprofit boards and commissions. She enjoys biking and dreams of cycling cross country one day. Her husband, John Sedbrook, is an Associate Professor in Biological Sciences, and her oldest son attends Illinois State.
