Executive Director of University Marketing and Communications
A stalwart of the Central Illinois design and marketing scene, Brian joined UMC in 2008 and has been loving life ever since. As a marketing director and then vice president of Business Builders, a Bloomington-Normal marketing agency, he amassed more than 17 years of experience in marketing and advertising. His education includes a B.F.A. from Illinois Wesleyan, an M.S. in studio art from Illinois State, and an Illinois State M.B.A.
“I love making people and organizations look great,” Brian said. “I am so proud of our people and the award-winning work that is produced here at UMC.”
Beyond the creation of extraordinary marketing media for the University, Brian reveals his true passion for his work. “The most rewarding part of my role at UMC is being able to align people with their strengths and then seeing them flourish. We really take pride in our creativity, our collaboration, and our delivery. This is our brand at UMC.”
When not working, studying, or spending time with his daughters Alex and Elizabeth, Brian enjoys playing the guitar, running on Constitution Trail, and participating in extreme sports.
