Director of Development, College of Applied Science and Technology
The College of Applied Science and Technology is one of the most diverse colleges at Illinois State University and is the academic home to 22% of the University’s student body. With over 30 programs of study, the College boasts an abundance of opportunities for students both in the classroom and out. Each of the College’s eight departments and schools emphasizes experiential learning opportunities that integrate real world application with cutting edge curriculum.
Katelyn is a development professional who is passionate about exploring philanthropic opportunities for the College, its alumni, and friends. With a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management and a master’s in Sport Administration, both from Liberty University, Kate’s own collegiate experience was largely shaped by the practical application experiences that she participated in as a student. Kate’s experience has given her a unique perspective of the programs that she supports and her previous roles include development experience at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Randolph College in Lynchburg, VA in major gifts and as an annual fund gift officer respectively. Kate enjoys spending time with friends, traveling, visiting with her family in Syracuse, NY, running, and watching any sport that is in season.
